Also known as The Demon, or Demon King, Vincent Yao is the leader of The Syndicate, a martial arts master, and a powerful super powered fire controller.

Background
Vincent Yao was born into poverty in San Francisco’s Chinatown to Italian and Chinese immigrants. His father owned a small laundry business, which was burned down when he refused to make protection payments to the local Triads. When Yao’s father went to the authorities for help, he was turned away by corrupt officers. His father then reopened his laundry, but again received harassment from the local Triads. He turned to the Italian Mafia for protection, but they demanded even more money.
Eventually when Yao was 15 years old, a local gang robbed his family’s business at gunpoint, resulting in the accidental death of his father, and brutal violence against his mother. In retaliation, a teenage Vincent walked into a well known Triad hang out, and used his burgeoning fire control to enact vengeance on his family’s tormentors, earning him the nickname The Demon, and the respect of the city’s Triad leadership.
Despite attempts to complete his education, he quickly fell into the underworld of the city. His formative experiences on the streets working with the Nosa Costra and the Triads instilled in Yao the importance of loyalty, power, and fear. As the Syndicate between these two organizations formed, Yao quickly rose through the ranks, proving himself to be a cunning and formidable enforcer, and eventual leader.
Rise to Power
Yao’s ascent to the leadership of The Syndicate was marked by a series of strategic moves and brutal eliminations of his rivals. He quickly earned the title Demon King from his followers.
